Every good storm plan starts with a den: a quiet corner your pet can retreat to that smells like home. Drape the Den Blanket over a crate, line a box or the Hideaway with it, or fold it into their favourite corner of the couch.
Why a den helps
RSPCA Australia suggests setting up a hiding place, such as a box with blankets inside, before fireworks and storms. Familiar, soft bedding helps that spot feel safe.
How to use it
- Set up the den a week or two before storm season or fireworks, so it feels normal by the big night.
- Let them sleep on it for a few nights first so it picks up their scent.
- Keep the den open so they can come and go. It's lightweight on purpose, and never a weighted or tucked-in wrap.

- Soft sherpa-style fleece on one side, smooth plush on the other, with a water-resistant middle layer to help protect couches and beds
